JSTOR Offers Free Access to Prominent Journals

jstorgreenJSTOR, the not-for-profit digital library, announced that it has now made more than 1,200 journals available for limited reading by the public. This is an expansion of its experimental program, Register and Read , in which people can sign up for a JSTOR account and access up to three articles every two weeks. “Our goal is for everyone around the world to be able to use the content we have put online and are preserving,” said Laura Brown, JSTOR managing director. “Register & Read provides a virtual way for anyone to walk into the JSTOR library, register at the door, and ‘check out’ a limited number of articles for reading.” To take part in this great offering, visit JSTOR’s registration page to create an account and begin searching today.

Explore and evaluate the new African American Historical Serials Collection!

sample2_ATLASerialsFuller community is invited to explore and evaluate the new African American Historical Serials Collection a unique digital collection documenting the cultural and religious life of African Americans in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The collection, featuring more than 60,000 pages of primary source content is preserved and curated by American Theological Association (ATLA) and provided by EBSCO’s Historical Digital Archives.

Turnitin & Moodle: integration and support changes!

We are happy to announce that Turnitin now integrates with Moodle, Fuller’s Course Management System.

To consolidate and integrate support and services, beginning January 2013 Fuller’s Distributed Learning (DL) staff will offer full support and training for Turnitin.

The Faculty guide to Turnitin as well as the Student’s Turnitin help pages are in the process of being updated in preparation for the upcoming changes.

From The Jonathan Edwards Center

The Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University just announced that, in partnership with William Eerdmans Publishing Company, it will be producing A Jonathan Edwards Encyclopedia. The volume, to be published in print and online, will consist of some 450 entries, ranging in length, according to the following categories:Long: up to 2,000 words; Medium: up to 1,000 words; Short: up to 500 words; Bio: up to 250 words.

They are invited registered users of the Edwards Center’s website, subscribers to our online journal, Jonathan Edwards Studies, and other interested and qualified members of the reading public to participate in this community non-profit project.
